6.96 is up

The 146.960 machine is back on Black Mountain as of Tuesday 9/25/2007.

Desense or interference?

I understand that the 6.96 has been having some problems.  I'm wondering if anyone can tell me what the repeater is hearing.  That is to say, has anyone been on site and just listened to the unsquelched receiver output?

well, last time i checked, as far as a status update goes, it was up and i was transmitting and receiving loud and clear!

Black mountain update

Wow, that post was so long ago.  Just about a year later I went to the site with Anthony and we looked at the spectrum analyzer.  A paging company, pumping out several hundreds of Watts in line with the repeater antenna, was the biggest problem they had.  Anthony installed some filters and the performance improved a bunch.  To avoid some of the other noise the repeater now requires a 123.0 Hz tone.  Note that the repeater does not transmit a tone.
