Our newspapers are failing because of the growing popularity of online and network news. We live in a fast-paced, high demand economy. The newspaper comes once a day, and offers limited news. Online/Network (TV) news offers immediate stories and updates. No longer do people wait until the 6 PM news to find out what's happening in the world. I think the newspapers do the best local investigative reporting out of any media outlet, but I'm afraid not all papers can make it through this change. As media sources continue to expand and grow via the internet, we will see the further decline of paper media sources. Maybe they'll produce an E-paper that continually updates, and is able to provide local news. There's an idea. -- Frank DUI lawyer
